The New Leaf project, the world’s first direct cash transfer program and study of its size, helps those who are recently homeless. The results are ground-breaking and are paving the way for a new approach in addressing Canada’s most pressing social issues. Claire Elizabeth Williams is the driving force behind the New Leaf Project and joins me to share why we need to let go of a lot of myths and misconceptions about helping people who are homeless. Doing all that under the umbrella of a global pandemic, is especially scary.
