Parents and Teens in Isolation. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Raising teenagers to paraphrase Charles Dickens, …

Raising teenagers to paraphrase Charles Dickens, “is the best of times and the worst of times”. It’s been this way for time immemorial, but in 2020 we added a plot twist. We have taken teens who are hardwired to be seeking independence and pushing boundaries and locked them in a house, often with parents who are going through their own developmental stage at mid-life and then we soaked the fuse on this powder keg in fuel that comes in the form of school closures, non-stop social media, cabin fever, and mental health crisises. It’s a lot mama. My next guest is a straight shooter who is here to neither coddle the parent or the teen, but with empathy and a clear voice is helping to bridge the gap between parents and teenagers in a time of great crisis. Meet Aly Pain, from alypain.com, certified life coach and relationship systems expert, and viral TikToker. Bet you didn’t see that one coming.
