Robert Pardi radically transformed his life after losing his wife to Breast Cancer by pursuing his dream to become a Certified Life Coach and moving to Italy. He works with clients coping with dramatic life events or desiring tectonic shifts in their lives. In recognition of National Caregiver Day and starting in the month of April, with the support of Teva Canada, Huddol is offering free 30-day unlimited access to the NEW Huddol Journeys App featuring the Moving Positively Through Change: Resilience Awakens 7-day Journey guided by Robert. This is a wonderful tool for caregivers and anyone looking to develop more resilience. Amanda DeGrace joins me to discuss how the pandemic is adding an extra layer of stress for expectant moms and what they can do to prepare ahead of time for delivery and for life with baby postpartum. I could have spent the entire hour with Anne Brodie this week, there’s just so much entertainment on the docket this weekend, but we crammed as much as we could into the short time we have including Michelle Pfeiffer in French Exit, Godzilla vs Kong which might be the campy escape you need this weekend, plus HBO Documentary Films brilliant four-part series Exterminate the Brutes from Raoul Peck which is a no holds barred, dizzying examination of the cost of men's greed, genocide, and colonialism. Have you ever wondered what life might look like if women designed the world? Thankfully Leslie Kern has. A feminist geographer, Leslie has laid out what a female centric city might look like through the lens of motherhood, friendship, protest, and safety in her new book Feminist City: Claiming Space in Man-Made World. Misconceptions about obesity has led to an increase in weight shaming during this pandemic and frankly it’s a stigma that really needs to end now. Dr. Sarah Nutter from Obesity Canada’s Every Body Matters collaborative joins me to share what’s driving the behaviour of some to judge others and the damage it can do. Finally, we’ve all been looking for comfort during the last year, so it’s fitting that this Easter weekend, you might find it with a Rabbit, and it’s trust Bear friend. Tara Shannon, illustrator and author joins me to share details about her new book for the young and young at heart called Rabbit & Bear Make a Wish, based on a drawing that went viral exactly one year ago.
