We're not always going to get this conversation right, but the only way to move forward is to listen, to learn, and to exchange ideas. Rene Syler asked her white friends on Facebook why it was so hard to talk about racism, so I invited her to join me on my podcast to discuss just that, between two friends. I cringe a little listening to me try to understand, but it's on me and on all white people to do better and to tear down systemic racism.
